Tonight's concert will be a rare treat for those who enjoy songwriters whose roots run deep in traditional music. We are pairing Canadian singer-songwriter James Keelaghan, a poet laureate of the folk and roots music world with Battlefield Band's recently retired keyboard player Alan Reid of Scotland and his partner, Dutch-born Rob Sante.

After decades of international touring with Reid and Van Sante have teamed up to release a new record on the life of Scots born mariner John Paul Jones. Their performance this evening will draw from that project, as well as Battlefield Band favorites and songs by Rob. Expect fine harmony singing, beautiful guitar work, and accordion and keyboards by Alan.
